Bye bye, last week, hello this week, I wont be seeing next week long either. I am so busy. School is already difficult this term and it is only week three. I get to draw a pelvis again for Anatomy tomorrow, I have to chick-flick!Write a really creepy story about a sociopath saving a child from drowning. I think it is already chickflick-y, because it IS mostly about emotion anyway. A prison inmate searching for his 'friend' (therapist) who hasn't been by to visit him in prison in five years. He finds the son instead. I just finished UVunwrapping a house and a power generator, and I am partially done with a Machine. I have to make a card and dice game for GamePlay and Ideation, and I still have four hours of drawing left to do for QuickSketch.

And I still haven't edited Shinjitsu-Edward's latest chapter. I've had it a week and a half.

...can I have a nap now?

Hee~ Got annoyed with Neopet's pinball game (it's terrible!) and hunted down a copy of 3D Pinball Space Cadet today~ (There are youtube videos that will help you do this.) It was on Windows XP, but it was never transferred over onto Vista or 7, unfortunately. So! Thus began a not-so-epic quest to find it. Now keep in mind, I haven't played the game since sometime back in 2006, and it was copyright back in 1995. It is THE BEST Pinball setup I have EVER seen.

Err, in anycase. It is amazing. The paddles track perfectly, the ball never goes through the paddle, the bouncing is never off, the speed variates in the ways it NEEDS to, and it is just so, so, so, FLUID. Lovely game.

And I have a lot more coordination than I used to have. Way back when, gosh, back in junior high and early high school, I had a high score once of 2million. I was so darn excited, and never made it that high again.

Well.

I have played it twice today, and man, the difference 6 years makes in coordination is amazing. At age 15 my high scores were usually around the 500,000 range. Here today, at 21, when I should be rusty as all hell, I have achieved high scores for both times I have played it.

1st: 5,219,500
2nd: 1,096,250

Egahd.

I think my shock is understandable under the circumstances.

On another note; regarding Neopets.

I have spent over 1.5mil np on my friend so far, and foresee a further 300k leaving my account-and, because I am a penny pincher in real life, and collect money moreso than spend it; so I have been playing neopets games like crazy. (Thus why I know that their Pinball game is horrible.)

Sutek's Tomb - I am frankly god-awful at, and I now have a new score! I went from having a high score of 300, to a high score of 1500ish.
Key Quest - Man I win a lot of stamps with that game, but I am terrible with that as well, but I think that is just connection issues moreso than anything. ;__; I was a few steps away from the finish line in one game, and then I disconnected abrubtly on my first game. My second I lost, and half my opponents baled. My third glitched horribly and the opponent pieces would start moving and keep moving until they reached the outer boundaries of the board, in conjunction, on this time around the game decided I was "away" and only moved four of my six steps on my second roll of the dye, and then skipped my turn. My fourth I accidentally minimized and it skipped me on the first three rounds because I couldn't get the window to maximize again. My fifth, sixth, and seventh games all terminated in some weird way. My eigth attempt took forever to load, and then kicked myself and my opponent both out when my opponent 'responded oddly', and in that game, two other opponents of mine who left before the game even loaded were in attendance and all timed out. My ninth requested that I reload the page. Finally, my tenth I lost in three rounds to the scorchio person again. I then threw in the towel and started trying to refresh my memories on Codestones and the Battle Dome.

I have a lot of determination some days.

I usually play Turmac Roll, Coconut Throwing, Meerca Chase, Destructo Match, Jelly Blobs of Doom, Pyramids, and Whack-a-Kass, plus any odd one I find by hitting the random game button. Over the last 8.5 years I have become a Grand Master in 18 different games and a Master in a further 18.

...Should I feel accomplished or ashamed at my time wasting ability...?

1.  Okay. 1. Um, I guess I'll take a cue here from Chibi and let you all know--I am an aromantic asexual. Never gonna get married or try dating again. I'm just not interested--I'd rather just stick to being good friends.

I'd like to finish most of the started pieces of art on my computer. That includes five animations, a fairytales arc of digital paintings that are aimed at being more "brothers grimm" than "disney" to show off as portfolio work and sell as prints (cause a girl needs to make money. @.@), and as of last night now two fan comics. So expect to see a lot more of me on dA from now on.

2. What's your favourite pairing?

Favorite? Um... Well... There are too many to count? Smallville and crossovers: ClarkxLex, BrucexClark, BrucexLex; FFVII: CxS, CxZ, CxZxS, CxZxSxA, even the all mighty and rare CxZxSxAxAxG--which is hard to render correctly and not turn into a mess. And VxCid and VxCloud, and etc. Sherlock: SherlockxJohn, SherlockxMaryxJohn, MycroftxLestrade, etc, in all its forms - transgenderism, asexualism, bisexualism, and more. That list can go on forever.

Still the one I first saw, with chibi ed and the metal wing, though I have been adding new favorites ontop of that very, VERY often. I LOVE the progress you are making with your technique~~~ and the hands and proportions and and and and and---! (Mostly everything?)

Um... Right now, its kind of a tie between my Amaterasu & Aerith - Life piece and my Inuyasha fanart If Only You Knew, but I also really like how the Intimate Relations fanart for ch.8 turned out too.

So I could favorite things, and keep track of artists I liked. I started doing art for it simply because I had it.

Of those, who will probably read this journal...? Eh. Two, but I tried.

Sometimes the simple approach is best, apparently.

A few weeks ago I downloaded about 8 files all with the same extension, and then the icons on my desktop turned into the paper with the folded corner icon. It was infuriating as all hell. The night after I got the files I woke to the realization that my my computer had been turned off (when it had been left on), when I rebooted it, it told me that it lost connection with my harddrive. This really alarmed me, but I thought 'hey, after three years of near constant use, maybe it is wearing out.' A week later I left it running MalwareBytes overnight and woke to it hanging on a note, repeating the same 1/4 second clip, and found that I had to force shut it down.

So I got irritated and tried to delete everything I put on it recently. Well, first I found that there was something wrong with my Open Canvas folder on my desktop, and then I found out that it was hanging when I would try to move a batch of ten files to my terabyte. I soon narrowed the problem down to 3 of the 8 files I had downloaded. One of which files I knew actually worked, but with a lag, and the other two I discovered, didn't work AT ALL.

So J became very aggravated, and set out on an epic quest to remove the files.

That lasted three days.

Cant move, rename, delete, copy, cut, shred, convert to rar+inprocess delete, no matter whether the computer is in safe mode or not, checked disk and had no returned issues, and there was nothing found my MalwareBytes, Ad-aware, Windows Security, IObit, or Quickware. Explorer.exe continued crashing whenever I tried anything with the file, and J was seriously considering copying all relevant files to her terabyte and getting the computer guy to wipe the entire thing and reinstall vista. I couldn't even set my programs on the files individually or explorer.exe would crash!

J looked up 20+ tutorials on how to fix the issue, and none helped.

And then J remembered this: Notepad can open ANYTHING. Turns out it can't, and will (not responding) me to death. But then I though: If it is a corrupted file, how about I just create a file with a few letters in it and OVERWRITE the file?

So J did. And Notepad worked. So J tried to rename the files afterwards to  carry the txt extension. Explorer crashed.

And Rebooted.

And then my desktop icons were BACK.

So J dragged one of them to the recycle bin.

IT WORKED.

So J dragged the other two.

And now J is enjoying her happily-ever-after.
